Default Center Speaker

I was thinking about upgrading my center speaker without going too much over in price. All my speakers that I'm currently using are Definitive, but I don't mind using something different. So far this community has helped me out on a lot of my choices, so hopefully you can do the same again! Thanks

Since your fronts are Definitive, you'll want to keep your center Definitive as well to timber match your front soundstage. Different manufacturers produce difference sounds with their speakers, and having a different manufacturer for a center channel may cause issues during scenes where the sound would span across your front soundstage from front left to center to the front right. Having a different manufacturer for a center channel could create a different sound to your audio during these times, giving it an unbalanced sound to it. I do not have Definitive speakers, so I will defer this to those members who do to recommend a center channel.

+1, this is correct. You at least want the front 3 speakers to be of the same company. I happen to be a fan of keeping all speakers of the same company as well...

Fosberg pretty much hit it on the nail on this one. Great explanation.
