Where is IJ and LOTR? - Blu-ray Forum

Supposedly, the Indiana Jones trilogy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy are coming to Blu this year. Well...it's almost September and no release dates. Were we lied to? I know better than to ask about Star Wars.

November for Lord of The Rings. Its already been announced that they would have DTS-HD MA audio and that the extended versions may come out next year to tie-in with The Hobbit.

Indiana Jones is whenever Spielberg and Lucas agree to release it. It was part of their prenuptial marriage agreement.

LOTR Theatrical Editions will be released on November 3, 2009.

indiana jones got pushed back to next year sometime. there was a possible release of nov. this year but that went away really fast!!

why don't you check the stickies, you've been a member here for a long time....these are obviously very big movies and if official news was announced, the respective threads would not be hard to find

(as you'll see in the sticky, LOTR has been announced)

DVDFile website has announced this news about a month or so ago...

We have received final specs for Warner's 3 November Blu-ray Disc release of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The good news is that the films will arrive with 1080p transfers and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound mixes, but the bad news is that the goodies here are holdovers: We'll get a set of lotr.net web featurettes, and eight featurettes (ones that were included on earlier DVD releases of the films), as well as a set of trailers and TV spots. SRP remains $99.98.

I did do a search. I saw nothing about a release date. I just that they would be released. It's not the same thing.

the LOTR thread is a sticky and lists the release date countless times, including in the OP

i don't think it makes sense to debate further...you asked a question and received answers. but I assume you know by now that on this forum, when a huge movie(s) is going to be released, there is a massive thread about it and it is usually a) a sticky and/or b) on the 1st page of bluray movies/releases every day

You also could have done a 2 second Google search and found the release date along with retail links to pre-order. Just sayin'....
