Default Suggestion about an animation blu

The thing is i've only seen toy story 1 and shreck 1 (at cinemas back in the last century) and from that little experience im not too much in the mood of those movies, anyhow, i've seen a few scenes from newer blu's like kung fu panda, open season, etc on TV stores as demo material and it looks amazing.

So i'd like to get an animation blu for my collection, i've seen the reviews and basically most of them have 5star PQ etc, but i'd expect to like the movie.

Could you fellas recomend me a few that someone in my case could enjoy a little?.

I've heard alot of good opinions about "Up" lately, but the little i know about it doesnt ring me neither (an old man with a fat kid going around crazy stuff)... well maybe CGI movies isnt just me thing but still...

Thanks in advance

You really can't go wrong with Pixar, and my personal favourites, which really are quite adult in their themes as well, are Ratatouille and WALL-E.
I'd also give a shout out to Kung Fu Panda, which is surprisingly good, funny and sweet.
And yeah, they all look and sound AMAZING!

Resident Evil Degeneration if you liked the games or films. If not, then you should still enjoy it.

Dead Space is another good one.

Origin: Spirits of the Past is a terrific anime movie or if you like more samurai-type there is Sword of the Stranger. The Sky Crawlers is also a great movie or if you like the Devil May Cry video games there is a whole animated series of it on Blu-ray. And a couple more favorites include Shigurui: Death Frenzy, Akira, and Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid

If 3D animation is what you're looking for, then you can't go wrong with Wall-E. Best 3D animation I have in my library.

Other worthy acquisitions, in my opinion, are:
- A Bug's Life
- Kung Fu Panda
- Cars

Akira, and Paprika are both 2d "traditional" art (Japanese)

Coraline and Wall-E are stop motion puppets and CGI respectively.

All 4 I highly recommend.

Thanks for all the answers so far, well im more in the mood of pixar like movies. Anime is fine, i've got paprica and tekkonkreet, but i want something more eye candy.
I visited amazon today and bought madagascar at a good price. Think ill get kung fu panda when the price drops a bit.
About Wall-e, well as far as people told me, it has amazing PQ but a bit boring.

Ratatouille, Kung Fu Panda and Bolt get my vote. All excellent movies that look and sound amazing on Blu.

the other one is a true classic. Maybe Pinocchio if you are into Disney?
Yup, i wanna have akira on BD, long time since i last watched it; but its a bit over the price im willing to pay right now 29 bucks + shipping etc.

Coraline's price has a lil' bit lower price, but it has a tim burton like style doesnt it? i hope they dont sing in the movie, do they? because even if i'd like burton's style -which i do, to some extend- i hate when they start singing which happens in his both cgi movies.

Anything Pixar minus Cars. It had a weak story for that one.
Wall-E is very good, but not my favourite as well.
Monsters, Inc. was my favourite Pixar film, until...UP!

You might want to wait for UP. It's a magical movie.
Simply put, it thoroughly deserves Walt Disney's quote, "For every laugh, there should be a tear."
It had one of the most beautiful endings of all Pixar's films. And it's the first that really brought me to tears.
