Default Animation on Blu

Over the last few weeks I have seen many ppl on this forum trying to say that shows like Simpsons and Family Guy wouldnt benefit from Blu-ray.

Statements like "To see with great clarity the flat colors and inklines?" were abundant.

To anyone with this mindset, go to netflix.com or your local blockbuster and rent Futurama: Bender's Game on Blu and DVD and compare for yourself.

You will see the video is significantly better and the audio is an even bigger improvement.

Now of course there are people that will still hold to the idea that these shows look just fine on DVD, and that is fine. Just like there are people that hold to the notion that DVDs are just fine for everything and Blu-ray is nothing they are interested it.

But there is a difference between saying something like "DVD is good enough for me" and saying "These shows shouldnt be released on Blu-ray" or "These shows wouldnt benefit from Blu-ray"

I assure you there is much difference to be seen.

Cool

I thought the Simpson's movie looked fantastic. And I have the animated Dead Space movie, aside from a bit of color banding the transfer is top notch, with deep blacks that give the animation some depth. I recommend checking it out as well.

The Simpsons Movie did look fantastic but it isnt really a good example because the animation used in the movie is a lil more detailed and advanced then in the TV show.

The Futurama movie uses the same animation as the TV show and proves the TV show would look fantastic on Blu.

Never saw Dead Space though, gonna have to check it out.
