Question Karate Kid Films

I just felt like seeing these again. lol
So are there any "fans" or anything, that would like to see these on BD?
I'd definitely buy it in a nice trilogy-set or something.
The fourth could be there too, but I don't know, what do you say?
It wouldn't annoy me as much as they put 'TNMT' with the live-action "Turtles"-films though.
The fourth is still the same style and perhaps even production.
Well actually, only the same producer specifically I see now...
But a different "karate kid" but still with 'Mr. Miyagi' and all.
I think it would make a nice set:

I would buy them in a heartbeat. Daniel whines a bit too much in the 3rd movie though.

Hah, I wouldn't know.
They all kind of merged together when I watched them when I was little and an early teenager.
I have the same with the "Turtles"-films and... yeah, most of those with multiple parts.
All I remember are some of those scenes where Miyagi would teach a lesson or kick azz.
Also some of those Karate-matches and those mean guys that would come and BE azzes. :P
Wax on, wax off, Bonsai-tree... hai...

I would have no choice but to get them (including 3 & 4!).

I like 1-3, The Next Karate Kid, not so much. Hilary Swank was much better in Million Dollar Baby. To be honest I have the DVD set which has all 4 films. The only one I really would like to upgrade to Blu is the first one, the bonafide classic of the bunch!

I would buy 1-3 but there's no way I'd buy 4.

These will definitely be mine once they get announced. (Except for 4, not too excited about that one)

I'd take 1 & 2. Wasn't a fan of 3 and the 4th was blah. I remember when the Karate Kid came out...everyone was taking karate lessons and kids were getting beat up @ recess lol.

Hah, alright.
Plenty of people that like them or simply have good memories of them.
Everyone seems to like at least the first two.
Most people the third too and pretty much 50-50 for the fourth I guess.

I have to agree with a post before, I couldn't watch them like "all the time".
Well... to me personally that actually counts with most movies, I remember them too well...
But, some I could indeed watch less than others, but still nice to have in your personal film-collection.
I doubt it/they would be too expensive anyway, seeing other current and newer releases.

lol It's just how much you consider acceptable for one film.
What are we speaking of here though, Dollars or Pounds?
If it's Dollars, seeing this is the 'Region A'-section, 15 per movie is pretty much my "limit" too.
Well, depends on the ratings, but say around or even a little over 10 Euros I'm good with.

But I can't really complain for most prices from the larger international sellers.
I mean, for a pretty fresh format still breaking though.
Except here in The Netherlands the standard price for a movie on BD is twice or thrice as much.
I still walk through actual stores, seeing the prices, smiling in disbelief
and staring around, trying to spot the candid camera trying to fool me.

On the films though:
I can't wait to see that scene where they're doing like that Kata on this mountain.
Today I still don't know what happened in which part, but seeing the posters I guess it would be "III".
Anyway, it should look beautiful on BD, especially on a big screen.
All I remember is they were just going at it, probably shot from a chopper, with this beautiful music out loud.

You mean the prices right? Yeah, they are pretty much ridiculous here.
I mean, sure it's a new format, but it stays expensive quite long, barely changes.

Oh yeah, that's right.
Apparently Will Smith's son would play the "kid"... which would look a bit weird...
