I looked through my HD on demand this morning and found The Karate Kid available. I did a quick search and found nothing about it on Blu-ray or Hd. Anyone out there heard or seen anything on the net? The Karate Kid is a paramount title so hopefully we see it on Blu

It took awhile for it to come out on DVD if i recall correctly. Then they finally released it as a 4 pack, with all 4 movies.Could be awhile on BD.

We had a poll here of 1980s Sony movies we want on Blu. This poll was apparently seen by people with influence. Look for yourself where Karate Kid finished along with the other movies.

KK 1 & 2 are the best, guess I'd buy the set if it was realeased that way. I own the Dvd set and have never even bothered to watch 3 & 4.

Speaking of 80's movies...anything about Tron? I figured Disney would have that at the top of their list.

Are you kidding? Dirty Dancing was released on Blu-ray early on, and I think this is far more popular a movie.

I dunno about that Aqua. Dirty Dancing has a cult following and has been released on DVD like 3 times I think. It's unfortunate the blu-ray release is subpar.
As for the KK's , the first two are definitely the best, but the 3rd one after watching it a few times kind of grew on me. Give 3 a shot Aqua...if you're a fan of the first two you'll still enjoy it. |

Yea, DD has been released quite a few times...its just my opinion getting in the way of fact. I have watched all the KK movies, I just think the last two (3-4) are kind of cheesey. I wonder who will be in the remake? I doubt if they even give anyone from the original a guest appearance. Maybe Pat Morita if he was still around, but no one else.

Number three is a direct followup to the first one. It starts off reviewing the end of the first story. You should watch it.

The 2nd one is almost as good as the first though. |

I actually think the second one is better than the first...no Elizabeth Shue and the stakes were so much higher. Tamlyn Tomita might have been the start of my yellow fever, too.
Edit: You know what's weird? I'm wearing a Kobra Kai t-shirt at the moment. Strike First - Strike Hard - No Mercy |

Thank god no one asked for "the Next Karate Kid" to be on Bluray
I hope this movie comes out with the best sound so when i watch it really feels like John Kreese is telling me to Sweep the Leg |
