Default Finally completed my home theatre

After buying and returning an Onkyo 674 for not working with either my HDPVR or PS3 over HDMI, I got a Harman Kardon 645. That one came with a blown centre channel and the cable box didn't want to work with it - gave me a green screen. Also it was forcing the PS3 down to 1080i. So I returned that as well. While I was just using the TV speakers my cable company updated its firmware so that may have helped the cable box HDMI issues. Finally I received my Harman Kardon 347. Swe-friggin'-eet - PS3 looks perfect at 1080p. The cable box is working perfectly high-def cannels come through as they are sent. Low def channels get deinterlaced and scaled to 720. All of it runs through HDMI. I must say that I beleive the Simplay HDMI certification is worth it.

Sound is absolutely fantastic. I know I downgraded on the wattage from the 645, but the 347 at high volumes is uncomfortably loud. Some of you might remember my post on the Durabrand system I had ($50 it was junk but my basement was being ripped up and I didn't want to put new equipment down there). That little trooper did its job and is off to the second hand store.

Now if I could just convince my wife that we need two more speakers I could make it a 7.1 system.

My camrera's battery completely crapped out and I'm wiating for a new one.

The list goes like so:
Westinghouse 42w2
Sony PS3 160 GB (based on the 60 gb model)
Motorola HDPVR (160 gb)
HK AVR 347
2x Sounstage 400 tower speaker front
Sountstage Centrestage
2x Soundstage 300 tower speakers surround
Soundstage 12 inch sub
I guess my computer is part of the set up as well due to the streaming to the PS3.

All running through HDMI with no problems (knock on wood)
