How to get the new Afrika animated theme

I have seen many members here post links on how to setup a Japanese account to get the new Afrika animated theme but unfortunately they all link to a setup that has changed. Here is what I did ... hope it helps someone.

Create a new user
Signup for Playstation Network
Next Pick your country Japan which is in Japanese characters
Create a new account top and default and set your date of birth to something like 1970
Next scroll through the terms of service and next
First line is your sign in id (email address) pick something bogus but has to be in the format of name@gmail.com or whatever..pick something unique that no one else has taken.
Next line is your password. minimum 6 characters and numbers with no more than 3 in a row...qw1qw1 works qwe111 does not work.
Next line is your password again.
Check box to save your password
Next line is the security question...leave it
Next line is the security answer...type in anything
Next screen is your online ID ... 3-16 characters that no one else has taken
Next screen first and second lines random characters and leave the third alone (gender)
Next screen is your address. random characters works
Next screen is if you want to receive email blah blah blah
Jump to the store and grab it!

Yeah it is a nice theme. Nicer than any of the ones Sony are wanting $2.99 for IMO.

Thanks for the tips...now I have a Japanese account! I like the theme zebras, but it is a bit hard to see the XMB icons...but you can't beat the price!

BTW, anyone have this game? Was thinking of importing or going for one on Ebay.

That's the problem I have with the vast majority of themes. I prefer the darker themes because then you can read the XMB icons and text.

Took a picture for those wondering what it looks like. Obviously doesn't capture the Zebra and cloud movement though



If you are finding the text hard to read go to the theme options and then select the background option. You can adjust the brightness and make it easier to see the text. And I still find that even at -3 it doesn't take away from the theme. Obviously you don't want to go really dark though.

BTW, anyone have this game? Was thinking of importing or going for one on Ebay.

Came so close to importing it multiple times but then it got announced for North America before I ever did so have yet to play it. Looking forward to trying it out since this theme is making me want it more.

I say import the American copy since it comes out this month and is definitely worth getting

I have the English Chinese version from when play asia had it's 30 dollar sale for it. It's a lot of fun but not a game I spend hours playing at a time. I'll play for like an hour every few days or so. It's just a very good looking game and I play it more to feel like I'm on a safari then to play actual game

Wow, that is pretty cool. I'm going to have to get on that. Has anybody seen these one's for Killzone 2 and Final Fantasy XIII? Are those one's free too? Or maybe is it one you get when you buy the game or something?

There are no Killzone or FFXIII Dynamic Themes yet but I'm sure there will be later on.
