Default WinDVD Pro 2010

Corel has posted details on the next version of WinDVD (Pro 2010) for Blu-ray playback which appears to be available starting Sept 9.

The 30 Day Trial Version of WinDVD 2010 doesn't support Blu-ray, PowerDVD does. The marketing department made a big mistake. Most people will shy away from WinDVD because of that. They will lost a lot of money!

yup, i went with PowerDVD over WinDVD for that trial reason alone.
same with ArcSoft...no dolby sound in trial?

all features (or at least the major) need to be offered in trials.

I don't have a problem purchasing software if I can try it first. Blu-ray playback has been buggy on PC's so to not offer a free trial is downright ludicrous.

From one of my reliable sources I am hearing that some discount mail order companies will be selling the retail box version of WinDVD Pro 2010 for around $83 once Corel starts shipping large quantities of the product to discount mail order companies.

If I remember correctly this would be the first year Cyberlink has offered a trial version of PowerDVD with Blu-ray support and Corel's WinDVD trial version has never supported BD.

Arcsoft was unable to offer the Dolby codec with the trial version this year due to some licensing restictions from Dolby.
