Default New HT setup advice

First I'd like to say I'm a new member and I love the community on thses forums, Everything I've read over the last couple of months has been a pleasure.

So my wife and I are moving into a bigger place at the beginning of the year, and I've set aside about $2,500 to redo my HT setup. I( plan on getting :

TV http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-VIERA-TC-P50S1-50-Inch-Plasma/dp/B001U3YJTY/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1HH275I7DHATM&colid =1FTHRQQLKGFIW
Receiver http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-HTR-6260BL-7-Channel-Theater-Receiver/dp/B001S2RDAE/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1JAT2GX0XNMGZ&colid =1FTHRQQLKGFIW
Fronts http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Monitor-Floorstanding-Speaker/dp/B0002Z241Q/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I16KW5JV6C8MNX&colid =1FTHRQQLKGFIW
Center http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Monitor-Channel-Speaker/dp/B0002MPMAE/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I28NXY8L75CKKL&colid =1FTHRQQLKGFIW
Surrounds http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Monitor-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B0002ZSFTG/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I3Q5ZJGEUCP3ZE&colid =1FTHRQQLKGFIW
Sub http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Monitor-10-Inch-Subwoofer/dp/B00030CHQ2/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=IMR7ZF4FXUS2Z&colid= 1FTHRQQLKGFIW

For content, I already have a 60gig ps3, and an xbox 360 elite. Will probably use cablevision for tv, unless theres fios in the area where we move. ( we live in nyc, and fios is only in new constructions).

Anyways what do you guys think of this setup? Thanks in advance for the help.

Looks like a pretty good setup. If I were pressed to make suggestions, I would encourage you to buy the Polk Monitor 60s rather than the 70s. The drivers would then match the CS1 and Monitor 30s. If you want the larger drivers of the 70s, you should get the CS2 center and Monitor 40s in the rear.

I think you may want to consider spending a bit more on the sub. Check out the threads for good suggestions.

That is a great TV, but if I were buying today I would go with the V10 or G10 (in that order).

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably swap in the g10, the v10 is out of my price range. Going to put a lil more thought into a sub.

I agree with repete that you want the center matched up to your left and right speakers, so get CS2 if you want the Monitor 70's. I don't think the rears matter as much though and the 30's will be fine. Spring for the 40's if the price isn't much more. As for the TV the S1 is nice, but you can usually get the G10 for the same price if you catch it on sale. Even if you pay a little more for it its well worth it. The black level is better on the G10 and its easily noticeable even in the store. If you want a good budget sub you should maybe look at THIS PA-120 sub or THIS Acoustic Audio sub which will run around the $200-$260 price range. The Polk won't perform nearly as well as either of these.
