Well what do you know... Eros has updated their blu-ray section! I hope those guys who mocked Bollywood Blu-Ray feel ashamed....

Oh and i just noticed: the Eros site has the 4 titles with the "Add to cart" button, not "Pre-order". So i'm guessing they're in stock and available.

Eros has told slperson1 that the movies are on preorder.

I don't think anyone has seen these to comment... Now not sure whether they have been released yet. We are getting mix messages from Eros...

EROS themselves didn't tell me that, the guy I buy movies from (who distributes movies in the houston area) said they aren't officially out yet. That it is pre-order" like Hey Babyy and OSO were when they were first listed on the EROS website.

Default Anyone else thing $30 is a li'l steep?

Sorry to rain down on your parade but Bollywood seems to be way off with pricing... $30 for Bhool Bhulaiya and Partner?? I know we are all trying to support the BD format development in Bollywood but paying $30 for such (average) films is sending the wrong signal!

Get it down to $10 and that would be progress. $30 keeps this confined to elitist circles and does nothing towards curbing piracy.

I agree the price should really be around $10...but currently the dvds also have the same price..despite the fact that dvd as media is much cheaper now...

I feel that mw90 is right. There is no reason for mw90 to claim that the blu-rays were in Planet M If he didn't see them there.

There are too many claims and counter claims regarding these blu-ray releases. Unbelievable.

$10 lol are you kidding? What planet do you live on? Planet Cheap @$$? This is why there is so much piracy in Indian Film Industries because of cheap @$$es like you. It's a blu ray you don't even get English movies for that price until at least a few months after release. Not even catalog titles come out at that price.

$30 for the first couple of releases is reasonable. That's what English blu rays were when they first come out and infact that's the price for many of them when they aren't on sale. But after they have a decent amount of films out I would think they would drop to the $15-$20 range.

I tend to agree with bugsnest about the pricing of the movies being too high. Remember that bollywood is a pretty small segment of total blu-ray buyers and by keeping the prices that high it will turn off those few potential buyers who would otherwise love to get these movies. In my opinion starting with $15-20 and then after some time $10-$15 range for movies that are released for 3-6 or more months will drive much more sales and will thrive the business as a whole.

Personally I would rather wait for the prices to get around or under $15 to buy any of blu-rays. If I would have to spend around $30 I would only get may be 1-2 hindi blu-rays that are my absolute favorites and thats it. For a consumer you have to add shipping/handling or tax charges to the cost as well and that will make them totally out of range.

Obviously you guys don't run businesses. The startup costs for blu ray are expensive and since it is a niche market of course they are gong to be priced higher. Patience is a virtue for those who want to be frugal. OSO and Hey Baby can be had for under $20 now. If you aren't ready to be on the forefront of blu ray then wait 1/2 a year to 1 year and these new releases will be in your price range.
