This is available on Amazon UK (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Trek-Re...3059704&sr=1-5) - does anyone know anything about this set - is it just the separate BD movie releases to date packaged as a single set or does it have some extras over those? Anyone seen any reviews of it yet? Appreciate any insight...thanks!

I haven't seen any reviews yet. It does look fancy
Although im probally tempted to get these two. http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/8...t/Product.html and.. http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/1...n/Product.html As it works out cheaper 117.98 for both. It's probally slightly cheaper on amazon.co.uk. Yep its 117.67. Not much cheaper! but hey its a saving lol |

When they say remastered, are they the same in PQ and AQ as the single versions, or have they upped the quality??
I am thinking of buying this set and just wanted to know whether it is worth it. I don't really want any directors/extended cuts, just gr8 quality films as want to upgrade from my dvds |

I want to purchase UK edition of the above boxed set, but will it play on my USA-made Playstation 3? I have read that these discs are encoded as Regions A and B, and I need to be sure of that. Thank you in advance for any help. |

I currently have this DVD boxset version of the first 10 movies.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000B64VK8 Does the BD set as mentioned in the OP first comment contain ALL the extras from the DVD set I linked to above (extended editions, deleted scenes, alt. endings etc)? I'd like to know soon as I am planning to have Bill Shatner sign a copy of Wrath Of Khan and Jonathan Frakes sign a copy of First Contact as this years Comic Con in London. Nerd alert! ![]() |

I'm not sure about everything, but I know The Motion Picture in the BD set is the theatrical edition, not the directors edition. And I'm pretty sure the same goes for Wrath of Khan as well.
It might be worth checking the individual BD release pages on Amazon.co.uk. I've only checked Wrath of Khan but it has a back-cover scan there, where it lists the special features (and, for that one at least, it says 'plus over 2 hours of previously released content' indicating it does port over from the previous DVD release). It's just these individual releases which have been put in the new BD box so if you can find out whats on the individual BD releases, you'll know what's in the box. Based on all this I'd guess special features: yes, extended editions of 1 and 2: no. But not owning I can't tell you for certain I'm afraid. |

They are the same as the US versions, but the poster was wanting to compare it to the previously released DVD versions. Unfortunately the directors cuts have not been released on blu ray at all.
