New to Blu, this community, and PS3

Hello all.

New guy here.

I have been lurking around on this forum for a while just reading and learning. I was into gaming as a kid and teen then I just sort of grew out of it. I never bought a gaming system past the Super Nintendo.

I of course love movies and that is how I stumbled across this community. There seems to be a great wealth of knowledge and differing opinions here and that is super cool. I have been debating about registering and posting on here myself and I did register one day but alas never posted until now. To be honest I felt silly about joining a blu-ray community until I had a blu-ray player.

Well a friend of mine had an 80 gb ps3 (fat) and 4 games and said he would sell it all to me for $275.00. My thought was the games surely have to be worth about 20 bucks each and that makes the ps3 under $200 if you average it out. I bit and just got it from him today!!!

As stated above, I haven't been a gamer in years and do not know what the good games are. The ones I got with this purchase were Dynasty Warriors 6, Grand Theft Auto IV, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Soul Calibur IV. I will be honest and say that I don't even know if any of those are good games. So, that brings me to my (first of many) question(s). lol

Being that I am not normally a gamer, what game do you guys reccomend I start with to get the ball rolloing? Do these games suck? Was that a good deal? Bad deal?
