First, congrats on the upcoming purchase. Second, I would recommend "The Incredible Hulk" based on the other 3 you have mentioned.

Say what you will about the movie, but I think "Speed Racer" has problem the best Picture Quality I have seen on blu-ray yet.

Congratulations on the new purchase!

I'm surprised that the Bond film "Casino Royale" hasn't popped up yet, unless I missed it. It's pretty much "demonstration quality," in my opinion. . . and it's a really terrific movie. The *only* drawback is that the BD-Live extras are weak. (As for the follow-up, "Quantum of Solace". . . it's not nearly as strong -- as a film -- but it also looks great on the big (home) screen.)

I'd also recommend "The Nightmare Before Christmas," where even the pop-up menus are really cool.

I think you'll be very pleased with "Transformers." The P-i-P commentary/behind-the-scenes footage is fun and there are even some interesting deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes extras available via BD-Live (if your player is going to be connected to the Internet). The movie itself is still too long (for my taste), but it looks amazing on BD.

For an older film, I'll also toss in a vote for "The Towering Inferno."

I don't know if it's that simple. A lot of people liked Gladiator, bought Gladiator, and weren't done.

OP, my sarcastic initial response aside, for starters I recommend:

Band of Brothers
Bourne Trilogy
Transformers
Casino Royale
Iron Man
The Dark Knight

Welcome to the forum!!

If you like nature Planet Earth is a must.. Galapagos is fantastic as well.

I recommend the movie The Fall for something a bit different (on the opposite end of the spectrum from Rambo which I do love as well) with lots of great footage and an enjoyable story.

I second that. Also, Baraka is the most beautiful movie available on BD. It is currently on sale at Amazon as well.

What kind of sound setup do you have?

These are the most visually outstanding movies out there:

Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Braveheart
Bottle Rocket

Now go get'em

For movie this is are good choice.

Cars
