Default Army Of Darkness: Evil Dead 3

I was just going through my DVD collection, making space for my few Blu-rays I have, and noticed, here in the UK, Army Of Darkness is distributed by Anchor Bay, not Universal. I am not sure if this has been mentioned ( I have Searched), but can it be released over here in the UK by Anchor Bay (STARZ), as obviously, it will play anywhere then, and we can have the full collection.

Yes, and the very good (best) R3 version of AoD is MGM so...chances are good.

Anchor Bay no longer has the rights to AOD. Dino DeLaurentis actually owns the film so it's owned by a gaggle of different companies

So there is a chance of a Blu-ray version of AOD being released ?

It'll almost definately come out on Blu in Japan, Blu owns 96% of the market there, HD is dead.

Looks like Toei owns it over there. What's really funny is that the Japanese title is apparently "Captain Supermarket". Good thing is that it'll have the proper ending too.

I love that movie, but DVD transfer I have is pretty bad. Dirt, dust etc. noticeable quite badly. From what I hear HD DVD transfer was one of the worst, perhaps because Universal used 15gb Sl.
Hopefully on BD it'll get the transfer it deserves.
