I am thrilled that it's October once again, the smell in the air, the shows on TV, and the look outside of all the golden leaves on the ground. There's nothing quite like it

. The cherry on top of this awesome month is the right lineup of movies.

My friends, what is your favorite October Blu?

The Descent has great video, even better sound and it's just a great movie to boot.

Which version you "get" or which version you "watch"?

The copy I have has 2 versions of the movie on it. Is there a different release available?

The Descent is a mess because Lionsgate has released different encodes to market without differentiating them sufficiently on the packaging. So it is a wild guess which version you will get until the BD is open and can be checked. There are now also import versions that some prefer.

Just for the film. There are better discs out there but few better Halloween specific films.

Have to say Halloween (1978)... for obvious reasons.

But Repulsion is my favorite horror film (since Psycho isn't on blu yet).
