Default I probably made one of the hardest decisions in my life today....

Today is a very sad day. I/we made the very tough decision to put our beloved Golden Retriever to sleep today. After a long battle with a tumor and bleeding internally we decided that Cinnamon's quality of life was no longer there. She led a long and loving life of 15 years bringing so much love and joy to our lives and everyone that came to our home.
I remember watching Marley and Me and thinking that is going to be us someday-and that day came today. The house seems a little empty today, but we know she is in a better place now.
I know I sound really emtional now, but if you have a loved pet-give them a hug and love on them today. Have a great day everyone.

I've been through it myself on a few occasions, and I can relate very well with your loss. It leaves a hole in your heart, but know that you made the right choice.

Sincerely,

John

I am a cat person myself, but I can still somewhat relate.
I haven't lost a pet like you, but I have given them away.
I am sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear it.

Pets are family members, period. My cat is 13 and has seizures. His days are numbered so I know what's on the horizon. That'll be a very tough week for us. My girls don't know life without him.

At least Cinnamon isn't in pain now.

I'm very sorry to hear about that man

It's always rough loosing a pet, especially one that has been with you for a very long time. But it sounds like you made the best decision for Cinnamon and she isn't in anymore pain and suffering.

My condolences man.

I am so sorry to hear of Cinnamon's problems and your difficult decision. We had to end our 2 Dachshunds lives many many years ago (one due to cancer, the other due to horrible back issues). I can understand and appreciate your anguish and pain all too well. I hope that you can get through this as easily as possible. When it is time, maybe you will be able to find a new friend that will come into and warm your life.

Rich

I want to thank everyone for their kind words today. I really do appreciate them and they do mean alot to me-I've never met any of you personally, but I'm thankful just the same.
Death is a part of life and time does heal. We have many good memories to hold onto and help us move on.....Thanks again.

Jim

Tough thing to go through for anyone and thank you for sharing it with us. Rest better knowing you did the right and proper thing. Rent a great film, go out to eat with some friends, play your favorite game, etc. and you will feel better in no time!

That sucks. Me and my fiancee had gotten a puppy about three months ago and it died like a month later. We figured she had gotten Parvo because she was a healthy puppy and she just went to sleep and never woke up. Sorry for your loss, man.

It is very tough. My Husky died right in front of me and my father. It was unexpected and completely saddening. Usually they say to get a new one because it helps with the pain. After some time I did but it is still rough. Sorry for your loss.

It's always a very sad thing when you lose a beloved pet, I really feel for ya right now & you have my deepest condolences
They tend to bring so much joy but when it's the time it's very painful this is the reason I no longer have pets anymore, it's happen to me a few times now.

R.I.P Cinnamon.

R.I.P.

That's hard to go through, I had something similar happen to me with one of my guinea pigs. He was sick, and I was holding him, and he died in my arms.
