Here is a review from Futureshop.ca blog. Don't let the blog fool ya, it is broken into 5 links. I'll post the Final Day link so its easy access to day 1-4

After reading it, you don't think of anything else on the market though so be warned.

I have seen that TV. For an LCD that large it looks pretty good. The price on that large of an LCD is great. I still think that it lacks a smooth picture that you will get from a plasma that size, but comparing LCD only, its not bad.

I forgot to post pics. Though you can see it in my HT gallery.

Biggest surprise to me was after calibrating it, I have near CRT black levels. (straight viewing of course)

Somethings fishy here.. No way can I achieve blacks this good on a set advertised as native 2000:1 contrast.

Blacks are better than my SXRD which you can also see in my gallery.

As per smooth motion LCD vs. Plasma. I can't comment cause I have not seen both side by side playing back the exact same content. I can say that I have spotted 0 slowdown issues & have not seen;

Ghosting
Banding
Screen uniformity issues (Green or red push)
Screen Tilt

2 years ago it was practically guaranteed a # of these issues would present itself on a Sony LCD.

The only thing which isn't great is its off axis viewing. Basically any viewing distance greater than 3-4 meters off center (left or right) is poor. I have sit in all 4 seating positions in my room & only 1 doesn't look like CRT blacks..

I have spotted 1 issue......

If this is important.. well, you be the judge.

When the TV is on & there is no signal on the input you are on you can see a bit of contrast wavering. Some folks nicknamed this Cloudy Haze.

Have something on, Blu-ray player, PS3, 360 etc this contrast wavering immediately goes away.

Can you tell me what your settings are? I get ghosting in movies and xbox games. Especially, with things that are in black. i.e. such as someone wearing a black eye patch...It will ghost all over the place.
