Default Connected in a certain sequence?

Hello all. I had recently "remodeled" my living room, and I needed to disconnect and then reconnect all my equipment, including HDMI cables and power. I use a Sony receiver, Sony Blu-ray player, DVR from Time Warner, and a Toshiba 42" LCD with 4 HDMI connectors. When everything was hooked up before the remodel, I could turn on the receiver and the player and TV would come on automatically. Or, I would turn on/off the TV, and the player and receiver would turn on/off. Now, after the remodel, the system no longer functions with that convenience. So, I was wondering, is there a certain sequence that all this equipment needs to hooked up in, in order to function as before? Everything is hooked up with HDMI cables, and everything is running through the receiver. Should I connect the cables first to the receiver then TV, player, etc.? Or vice-versa? I know it's worked before.
Thanks for any feedback.

I don't think it's the way you have connected the cables, your receiver may have a LINK mode which should allow you to turn on one appliance & the other ones follow, if you go into the settings menu you should be able to turn this feature back on again, same thing applies for your TV & player

If you're using a programmable remote, try re-programming it.

It sounds like Regza Link to me and Sony's Bravia Sync. Like SSLAYERR said, you can probably go into the settings on your TV and/or receiver and turn these options back on.

Did you have everything plugged into the receiver before and now you don't? That would turn the things off and on when the receiver turns on.

Thanks for all the replies. I've done a quick check of my equipment, but I don't remember anything changing as far as settings are concerned. All follow up in a couple of days.
