So is this worth it or should I get the American Walmart IMAX release?

I have seen neither so that's a choice for you.

Great price in release week though.

The deal may expire at noon.

There's a thread in the Region A titles forum about the movie. Maybe there are comparisons there?

the imax version is only different by 60 seconds... so it depends if that extra minute really matters to you or not.

p.s - nice thread steve. i'm sure this will help Borris move them much quicker (if they wernt already going fast enough)

i urge everyone else too... this is the LOWEST RETAIL PRICE your likely to find for this movie ANYWHERE. so get em while the deal is still on. $22.99 is CHEAP, cuz even after a month they will be $19.99 used at bbv so for 3 bucks more, why not pick it up sooner, brand new and with all the trimings!

The coupon code is working, i just tried myself to be sure. Make sure that you enter the coupon code in lower case and without the hyphens. Let me know if you have any problems.

Hehe, life is full of tough decisions.

You did save over $10 on Monsters Inc. yesterday...

Transformers is not my kind of movie or I would be all over it at that price.

I am just hoping for a similar deal with Up, The Green Mile, The Negotiator, or, most importantly...Inglourious Basterds.

I don't like the campy humour. In fact humour is a real problem for me and I'm a movie snob. It has to be intelligent and fit properly into the story. I can't stand most comedies, just comedy within dramas (inglourious, Fargo, Mulholland Dr. etc.).

to each is own i suppose... i know alot of people who over-analyze movies and complain its bad if they find TINY holes in the storyline.. but i take movies for what they are and those kinda things never bother me. its prolly why i enjoy soo many movies other ppl do not.

@fishy - with regards to your decision... look at it this way. if you wait a month to buy it used from bbv.. you wont get slipcover or bonus features disc. i think those would be worth the extra 3 bucks for me.

I analyze everything, but I can suspend my disbelief. I like Bond

We can't agree on everything.

Well $30 total is quite high. The shipping kinda busts the deal for me. I mean I could get it for 27.99 at my local BB. I think I will probably wait for it at BBV in the PPV section.

BTW, I cannot wait for Green Mile. This is a must buy for me. Price will be a factor though, I won't spend $30 on a movie any more. Max for me is around $25 including taxes.

Third on my all-time list behind Mulholland Dr. and Shawshank.

You know, I have yet to see Shawshank Redemption. Is it actually better than Green Mile? For me, Green Mile is a top the list when it comes to story and emotion. I don't see how any movie can beat it.

If you think that about The Green Mile ( I agree) you will absolutely love Shawshank. Probably the most uplifting final 30 minutes of any movie. Same author and screenwriter, and both are masterpieces. Freeman and Robbins gave the performances of their careers.

I think it's $19.99 at FS at the moment. Maybe even cheaper elsewhere?
