Default The Prisoner: Complete Series

Anybody see this? I *almost* picked it up at Best Buy tonight but decided to wait because of the 30% sale that starts on Sunday. Plus, I don't know too much about it, other than it sounds terrific and seems to be critically acclaimed. Anybody know anything about it? Thanks in advance!

This is like the third or fourth thread for this set. Also if you saw it at Best Buy then somebody there made a mistake, because it doesn't street until this coming Tuesday.

To address your question though, I know many people who consider The Prisoner one of the greatest, if not the greatest television show ever made.

I have 3 Best Buy stores in my area all within 5 miles of each other and ONE of them ALWAYS puts out titles before their proper release date. I picked up Natural Born Killers like 2 weeks before it came out last week. I might go back Sunday then and grab this at 30% off!

It's right up there in anycase. This show even after 40 years still beat's almost anything put on TV these days. Show that ultra perfect CGI is not always what's needed but good stories done by good actors and directors.

Well well, lookie what I just found! Seems the op's Best Buy wasn't the only one that didn't care about breaking street

The case is huge - twice the thickness of a regular one. I'm so excited to watch this series again, and all those amazing supplements!

WHY wouldn't you wait ONE more day to get the 30% off? I mean at $89.99 we are talking about a pretty hefty discount! Seriously, I am going back to Best Buy tomorrow morning to pick up this, TMNT Box, Fringe, and Dollhouse- ALL at 30% off!
Patience is a virtue...

What was the default price at Best Buy? Each Internet retailer seems to have a different MSRP for this set.

The SRP is the same everywhere - $99.95. The Best Buy price is $89.99.

Even after the 30% off at Best Buy, you're still better off buying this set at Amazon. I just got it at BB because I have some money on a gift card.

Thanks for the information. A&E is usually one of the distributors that does not drop the price of a set the longer it remains on the market, so I will probably go with Amazon's current price.

Even after 30% off the $89.99 from Best Buy it would still be cheaper to buy at Amazon? Seriously? At lease with Best Buy I don't have to pay shipping and I can have it at home TOMORROW to watch. Amazon would have to be at least $10 cheaper for me to consider buying there.

Yes, seriously. Do the math. Amazon is $50.49 with no tax and free shipping. BB is $89.99 less 30%, which comes to $62.99 + tax. So there's your $10 and then some.
