the bold are my favs. Arachnophobia was just an awesome movie. It freaked the living crap out of me the first time I watched it when I was like 5 years old. I'm still afraid of spiders because of that movie.

None....all average and none of it scary. "It" started out great but then well....you know the ending was just one big let down.

Scream is an awesome movie, but I only marginally consider it a horror movie. An overlooked movie is Lord Of Illusions. There are some very creepy and effective set pieces in that movie.

I haven't seen a lot of the movies that you have listed, but you seem to be well versed in the Horror genre. What is it about these films that you find enjoyable? I feel if I want you to expand your film viewing selections, I should as well.

For those of you who listed Night of the Living Dead, do you prefer it over the original B&W version? If so, is only because it's in color?

I enjoyed Event Horizon the first time I watched it, but it has gotten a lot of love on this site. Could some of you explain why you like it so much? I felt it was just an OK movie.

Well as a kid it was mostly what i watched. Most kids at that age would be to scared to watch horror films so they would rather watch cartoons and kiddy movies etc...Dont get me wrong I also watched cartoons and things of that nature but movies like halloween, Friday the 13th, Carrie, Exorcist etc...had me hooked. It was the fascination of being scared that got me! It gave u a rush and the fact of being scared was a big appeal to me. That genre has stuck with me growing up Ive been fan ever since. I do like other genre's as well but horror is my fav. Got Em!!

I prefer the remake actually. but neither to me are great! I like a lot of other zombie films ahead of both. i couldnt get thru the b&w when i tried a few years back. Again i think its because I never watched it back when i was young so when I tried later it was to old for me and very very slow. I also like the more aggressive zombies so Im sure that plays apart as well. Got Em!!
