FPS comparison... What one do you like and why? List inside

I .. SUCK at FPS games.. i mean im terrible... But i try and try , so maybe im not getting the controls or im not taking my time and being patient etc etc... So if you guys were to suggest a FPS game thats fun and not to tough on the slo boys like me , that would be great,

Im not gonna add every game , just the series title , Might be some action fps type games in there too

Half Life 2. Do it.

It's the best FPS game ever made. Everything is good. The first Half life is got me really into gaming and the second one is awesome. Episode 2 from half life 2 is also very , very good.

Fallout 3... RPG(ish) = WIN!
Bioshock = WIN!


Halo is only on xbox (IDK if you have both systems)
Uncharted 2 isn't FPS
Dead Space isn't FPS

Assassins Creed and God of War aren't really shooters let alone FPS

yea thats why i said there might be a few action /shooter games in the mix

dead space, is what 3 rd person? mehh same deal, your a character person.. and you cycle weapons and shoot ... all the same there too

But you said you sucked at FPS... I was just telling you those aren't FPS. And 3rd PS and FPS aren't really the same at all.

If you want easy you can get uncharted 2 and play on the very easy mode until you get the hang of it.

Try out Battlefield 1943 on PSN. Pretty easy to pick up and play. And if you enjoy it, Battlefield bad company 2 is out in a couple of months so this will give you time to learn the game play.

I've been playing Unreal Tournament 3. It's a older game(cheap) but I'm really enjoying it. And there are quite a few people still playing it online. It's pretty easy to pick-up and play.

It's a terrific game, though it's not really a shotter, as if you shot the enemy in the head, you tend to just piss them of. You have to cut them up limb by limb.

One fps I would look at playing is Killzone 2 and hald-life 2, also maybe consider tom clancy's ghost recon one or two.

Half Life 2 for pc
CoD for console just because its addictive and people are still playing cod4 which came out 2 years ago

Out of all the FPS games I played, I only managed to finish Resistance FoM and Mirror's Edge. I'm about to add Borderlands and Fallout to that list.

best FPS out
no dealing with 'run & gunners' and the aiming system is better than any of those other games

plus its REALISTIC one shot to the head = GO TO SLEEP!!!!

Timesplitters: Future Perfect. The most fun I've ever had with an FPS. Great humor with stellar gameplay.

Unreal Tournament 3 will fine tune any issues you have with FPS controls. Its very twitchy and I find that a game that forces you to be so quick with the controls makes you better in the end for it.

It's kind of like playing someone who is awesome as to playing someone who sucks. you'll find you get more out of it learning and experience if you play someone good. Kind of a similar situation.


After that I can definitely recommend the Call of Duty series.

Some of those aren't FPS games, but for me it's Call of Duty 4 followed by Killzone 2 (mostly for it's great multiplayer).

MAG will be out soon, take a look into that, im not the best at FPS either, but this game has a big focus on playing in a team and working together, so even if you arent fantastic by yourself, you arent just getting dominated by everyone else and dying 3 seconds after respawning, im playing in the beta, and it absolutely rocks so far!
