Default Static lines across tv?

When I watch a BD (especially) with dark scenes, I'll notice...the best way I can describe it is like static...like lines from a loose video cable...but its feint. My first thought was a bad HDMI cable, but when I switched it, there was no difference. Its not my player (PS3) because I don't have this effect with games.

As far as my hdtv goes (Sharp 32 inch), going from max sharpness to low does nothing.

Is this just normal for BD?

no it is not normal! do you get the same problem when watching regular cable/tv?

Have you tried another HDMI port on your tv?
