blu, a simple google search would have answered all of your questions. it does look nice (of course that's a question that only you could have answered for yourself)

i went to the onkyo site and the unit has 4 reviews by folks who own it and they rate it nicely; i don't recommend it myself for this reason, there are none available new, just used or refurbished (at amazon)i'd stay away from this and look for something more modern and NEW!

it does not decode lossless audio onboard. it does not have HDMI either, but, it does have multichannel analog inputs so you need a bluray/dvd player to have two things, multichannel analog outs and decode all HD codecs onboard. this is the only way you will hear/get lossless audio to/from the receiver.

If you want an Onkyo setup, I would say the 6100 is the first one in their HTiB family. Still, a major downside is thatthe reciever (a 606) doesn't have analog outputs for a potential external amp upgrade.

If you're on a budget, go to www.accessories4less.com . You can find the Onkyo HT-S6100 and 7100 there for a lot less than anywhere else. Both of these will decode the lossless audio tracks, have multiple HDMI inputs and come with everything you need in the box.
