Default What makes the Blu Ray hardware and software format so unique to you ?

Apart from and/or in addition to the obvious (better picture quality),
what makes both the Blu Ray hardware and software format so unique and
superior to you. If there's any web links you admire (where this is very
well seriously or humorously discussed without going into only technical reasons only), please include any.

I watch movies for movies. I don't care about BD-Live or anything like that. I just enjoy the obvious superior PQ and AQ over other mediums available to the consumer market.

With that said, I just like the people on this site. A majority of them are mature, civilized human beings. Other sites seem to have cliques and if you are not "in" them, then you are regularly put down or comments are belittled or just ignored. The members are very welcoming to new members and don't make them feel unwanted in the least.

Just my opinion.

I first heard about HDTV in 1985. I finally bought my first HDTV in 2003. So yeah, having HD media to go with it is a dream come true.

About frikken time too. The European PAL format had 100 more lines resolution than our old NTSC format.
