Hi
I wonder if anyone here can help me. I recently purchased a Samsung BD-P1600 player, i have a formatted 4gb USB attached and have just bought my first Live enabled Blu-ray disc (Public Enemies) However when i try and access the internet content the movie tells me that i am not connected to the internet, despite the system menu of the player saying that the internet connection is fine. I am puzzled and would really appreciate some help! Thanks! ![]() Luke |

I assume that BD Live Internet Connection is set to allow. I'd choose allow(all) personally. The usb thumb drive is formatted to FAT format correct?
I'm also assuming you're up to date on firmware, the last release was 10/31 for this player. I'm not a Samsung fan based on personal experience but I say update at your own risk. This forum has many threads of people experiencing more issues after an update than they had before the update. |

Hi djc, thanks for the quick reply.
BD live connection is set to allow all, the usb drive is of FAT format and im also running the latest (31/10) firmware however it hasn't fixed this problem. |

Have you tried BD-Live features with any other discs, through rental maybe? Tried Netflix or Pandora?
It's possible that since this is a new release that this feature isn't available yet. There was another title not so long ago, can't remember the name of it, that this was the case. I don't have this title so I can't try it but if it doesn't work for other discs then obviously that's not the issue. |

Bought this blu-ray on Monday, the day of release here in the UK. Get the same message as you, player not connected to the internet. My blu-ray player is sony and other BD live discs have worked! Maybe they wait until Public Enemies has been released world wide before activating BD live.

Thanks for the info!
Its a bit odd that we have to wait till the movie is released everywhere till we get DB-live. I would have expected it to be available as soon as the disk first shipped. ![]() |
