Default In Europe close to 95% of all HDTV optical devices are BLU-RAY

“The Blu-ray camp said if those additional figures were taken into account, Blu-ray sales would actually account for up to 95 percent of all next-gen disc sales”

I wish both camps would just agree to look at totally number of movies sold instead of playing the game of how many HDTV hardware devices have been sold.

Totally number of movies sold will always be the most accurate way to see who is winning this format war. Some people that purchase a HD-DVD standalone or BLU-RAY standalone are buying DVD’s instead of HDTV discs. This occurs more in the HD-DVD camp since they only have Universal Studios as an exclusive studio. BLU-RAY is still winning total number of discs sold since they have more studio support.
