Default Remote Play Question

Ok, need some help.

I have remote play activated on one of my PS3s - including the remote activation.

I can link into remote play when I use the private network option on my PSP and select my local wireless network, but when I try to test the internet option (going away this weekend) it won't turn on the PS3 and connect. It basically times out on the "should take 90 seconds" screen?

Anyone else ever have a similar issue and fix it?

Thanks in advance!

You can't use the same internet connection for that option. You need to find a place with free wifi to do it. When you use the sameconnection that the ps3 is hooked up to you'll get that problem it only works with private network like that

And that helps how?

Thanks for your opinion, but quite frankly, I wasn't asking for it - I was asking for help.

On another note - Goodintentions, thanks for the info, but it didn't seem to work from a different connection while I was on vacation.

I'll have to play around with it more I guess.

I can use the internet option from the same network so you should be able to use the "internet" option from the same network. Maybe your router is blocking traffic?

Does your routed support UnPnP? if not then it will not work. My router through ATT does not support the UnPnP so it wakes up the PS3. Once the PS3 wakes up it will time out if the PSP is not detected. this may or may not be your problem but you can look into it.
