Thumbs down Hollywood Hypocrisy.

Interesting how things work out for Hollywood Hypocrisy. Everything should be free game or nothing at all. Easy targets.

Quote:
2012 director Emmerich decided not to destroy Mecca because, as he puts it "I was told that if we included the destruction of Mecca, as we originally intended, then a fatwa would be placed on my head. So obviusly we decided against it"

The move was welcomed by Muslims.

So you. An destroy the Vatican, Kill the Pope, crush Christ the Redeemer, but don't touch Mecca or you'll be killed.

Um, is there a Catholic word for 'fatwa'?
Independent 2009.

Hypocrisy doesn't really fit the issue at hand.

They simply didn't show Meca being destroyed, because they'd get a fatwa on their heads.

It's not like it still isn't destroyed in the context of the film. It's just not shown.

Independent 2009.
yeah except with the one religion the extremists WILL kill people over books, movies and such, and the other the extremists only bomb you if you are providing abortions while filming.

Would call this common sense and not hypocrisy.

Ahhhh!

We have a blanket policy of not discussing politics or religion on this forum. There are plenty of other places you can talk about this though, just not here.
