Default Should I get a Samsung BDP-3600 or a LG390

Looking to replace my Sony BDP-S350, I want a a great player with Blockbuster Online and/or Netflix capabilities.

Online reviews are varied and not conclusive.

I'm leaning for the samsung just because it has Blockbuster Online (which I already have), and now with the whole exchange in-store (which now they gave me unlimited) puts it a notch up over Netflix on my mind.

But I ask you guys what are your thoughts on this players.

I think either would be a good choice. But if you have the blockbuster account then I would go with Samsung. I have always found samsung stuff to be better than LG,

I would only suggest the Samsung if you have a PS3 for a back-up player. There are usually a few BDs that won't play after firmware updates for at least a few weeks. In my case, when I first got mine, "The Spirit" wouldn't load until the next update and then it was "Midnight Meat Train" (and most other Lionsgate BDs) that refused to play. At the moment, outta my hundred-sumpthin' BDs, everything plays just fine except for "Iron Man"; It refuses to load. The bonus of the player for me is that it gives me better PQ (and seemingly AQ as well, although I'm no expert. It might just be my imagination going along with the beautiful picture, but I swear the sound has more "OOMPH!" through the Samsung) than the PS3 does and it loads BDs just as fast, if not faster (that is, when it loads the friggin' things).

Thanks everybody, I'm about to bite on the Samsung 3600, because Bestbuy will have it on sale on Black Friday at around $240, just the player.
But if I get it today I would get $20 dollars off for using paypal, plus I would get 2 free movies.

That also means no waking up at 2 am to stand in the freezing cold to get in the store on BF.

Hi, I got my Samsung BD P3600 in late summer. There were 4-5 firmware updates almost right after each other. In the last 2 weeks nothing.
I'm very pleased with the player. All of the movies I've tried have played fine. (lots of LionsGate films) The AQ & PQ is great also it's very fast.

I wouldn't say it's alot. Not enough to annoy me into noticing how often there are anyway. Whenever there is one, you're pretty much guaranteed a surprise. Whether it's suddenly seeing that you now have access to Blockbuster Online, or that one (or more) of your BDs suddenly won't load up. If it ends up being the latter, it doesn't take too long before there's a follow-up to fix it... it's just annoying in the meantime.

Default I recommend...NONE!

You will be better off with a SONY or PANASONIC player, that is if you want RELIABILITY.

Thanks all, I got the Samsung yesterday, got it for $280, with 2 free movies. It was a breeze to setup, no problems whatsoever. I love it!!!
Played some blu rays, got Netflix, and used youtube.

Default Dell Price

I was just on Dell's website and it's $299.99. Was that a one day sale or something?

I just "upgraded" from a BD-P1500 to a 3600 and it has driven me crazy ever since I bought it. It took me hours to connect to my network but I finally gob that working, now I throw in a movie and it looks funny. I took the movie out and went to the settings and then to display and it says 1080i. So I try and change it to 1080p and it won't work. About 30 trys later I'm ready to return it to bestbuy. Everything I own is 1080p. And my old 1500 was perfect 1080p HD.
Anybody have any advice? Anyone ever had this happen before?
