Help w/Sony kds-60a3000 (sxrd) screen size

I know its 60" but my plight is the image size on the 60" screen.

For example the pixar blu ray test image from Ratatoueieoieueo has a image with 3 yellow rectangles, at my best setting i can only see two.

Going into the settings-screen-display area: and changing the setting to +1 i get the full image but smaller with a black frame completely around the image, as if the image was on a 50" screen for example.

Any ideas or help? I value myself pretty resourcefull especially with sites like this and google... Im surprised i cant bring anything up in the various searches ive done on seperate occasions.

I have the settings on the tv and ps3 at full for the 16x9 images, normal gives me a 4:3 screen.
