1. It is the version pictured in their Black Friday ad..... 2. It is the only version Target currently carries in a regular case.... 3. The ad states the regular prices of the BDs on sale for $12.99 in the ad as being "24.99-44.99", which the 3-disc Emerald Edition does... I still don't understand why people are so skeptical about this....Black Friday sales always end up having at least a few items that are just WAY lower than usual....the Target exclusive version of Gone With The Wind is selling for $34.99 this week, but is also pictured in the BF ad for $12.99 as well, but no one seems to be questioning whether or not that one will be the same one you can buy today for three times as much.... |

One interesting note. I got the $12.99 copy on black friday. It has a different UPC code on the shrink wrap. 8 83929 10209 9 stuck on the back. The actual UPC is 8 83929 05736 8. My guess is this is possibly to identify BF versions being returned for the $34.99 refund as the disc has a 90 day return policy. I can't imagine it would have a special UPC being a target exclusive. I never noticed this is Gremlins or GWTW. With a receipt you would know it was from Target anyway, not too mention the Target exclusive sticker on the bluray.

So, I never saw this thread before, but came across a copy of the "Emerald Edition" at Barnes & Noble today. So I did some research, and here I am. However, I followed the OP's link and ended up at Amazon, and there's no official picture for it on there, but there's a user-submitted picture that shows a 3-disc digipak-style case. The Target Exclusive was just a standard Blu-ray case. Can anybody shed some light on these different versions?
