i have not seen any of them on blu but feel most of them were pretty mediocre... i did enjoy Green Lantern, Dr. Strange & Public Enemies.. but not enough to want to buy any of them. I am yet to see Hulk Vs. or Wonder Woman yet though... Ive only watched 3 Lionsgate titles and been pretty damn disapointed (Ninth Gate which wasnt too bad, Reservoir Dogs and another title I cant remember) so I am surprised to here all the lionsgate praise

Superman: Doomsday is the best DC animated film, and Hulk Vs. is the best from Marvel.

I am a DC Fanboy and even I liked Hulk Vs., so take from that what you will.
As far as the DC stuff goes, most of them have been pretty solid, but I have been disappointed with their length. At about 70 minutes, they have all felt rushed to me. I feel like another 15-20 minutes of alittle more character development would have made them all more well-rounded and complete feeling. Of course, I have also read alot of the source material for the films, so I recognize what has been editted out. I recommend picking up JL: Season One above all else, in part because you can get the whole season for about $10 usually on Ebay. Season One is hardly the best of the series, but it is still very good. Here is to hoping they make the rest blu soon. Last edited by Vendetta-akk; 12-10-2009 at 12:36 PM. |
