Next Avengers: One of the "lowest" thing Marvel has ever done. I really hate this concept of kids taking over for the real Avengers. It's just pathetic. Only worthwhile things about this is seeing the Hulk and Ironman and getting to see a first look at the upcoming animated feature.

How exactly is it low and/or pathetic?

Nothing wrong with it. It's not all that different a concept than the M2 Universe.

I just don't like these sorta concept about Kids replacing a group. It's just too "kiddie" for my taste because Kids should have no business fighting period. You honestly like this version??

I do. It's an 'esleworlds/whatif' story like any other. I thought the trailer was decent enough, espcially when 'old Hulk' showed up. Now I cant wait to see how the story unfolds.

edit: And for 'kids' fighting, when I had stopped reading comics a couple years ago, Runaways, Young Avengers, and Teen Titans, as goofy as some of the concepts were, they were absolutely some of the most well written, entertaining comic reads coming out.

You do know that Spider-man, the X-Men, Robin, and several other classic heroes were kids when they were introduced, right? Some were barely high-school age!

That doesn't even get into the groups like the Teen Titans (who've been around for decades), the Runaways (who became superheroes to stop their super-villain parents from taking over the world), and the analog to these guys, the Young Avengers (who came about because the Avengers were, well, Disassembled and no one wanted to step in).

Agreed! this is ! Pathetic! What they should have done is brought out an Avengers Movie that featured a villan such as Ultron, Korvac, or some one on those lines (and include the Vision)!

People have been critical of Next Avengers since it was announced. Saying it was kiddish. I don't really think it's anymore kiddish than any of their other animated features. Especially if you've seen the trailer and seen what the storyline is about. After all, there's nothing kiddish about the fact that their parents were killed.

EDIT: Just saw that their parents having been killed were mentioned in the movie's description.

This one does feature Ultron. He's the primary villain of the storyline.

Plus, it should be pointed out that there is a Paramount "Avengers" movie being worked on for two or three years down the road, which contractually prevents Lionsgate from making anything but alternate continuity Avengers movies.

Thus, the Ultimate Universe direct-to-video version and the Next Avengers.

I'm a big comics junkie but the "Next Avengers" doesn't interest me at all. I never got into the television "Teen Titans" either. However, "The Invincible Ironman will join The Ultimate Avengers and Dr. Strange in my Blu-ray collection.

I'm going to rent the Iron Man one. Looks like it could be good. Let's all hope that it isn't as bad as the batman cartoon that recently came out.

The animated Iron Man movie has been on dvd for a long time already. I would not recommend a blind buy of this movie even for die hard Iron Man fans. As someone that once owned a complete run of the Iron Man comics it was very disappointing to me. Poor quality animation and the story is a hobbled together mess of various Iron Man stories. It's definitely a rent first situation.
