Guys,
I need help with some ideas on how I can raise my TV and have my center on top of the e. center. I can not move the set up at all I am stuck with the placement. Does anyone have any idea on a piece of furniture that will help with my needs or any off the wall idea? I am stumped! Thanks |

Good idea, but I wouldn't use a U-shaped riser. I would recommend you build (or buy) a box. A 'U' would be weaker and could collapse, crushing your center speaker and/or dump your TV on the floor. And don't forget to brace the corners so that it holds its shape. You could also put a closed back on it if you leave a hole for the speaker wires.

Thanks for the help fellas. All the info led me to this.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001NABBVS?...SIN=B001NABBVS Seriously debating it, just not sure it would hold my set. The measurements on the mount seem to match but still nervous. Update.. This seems to hold a lot more weight so I am leaning towards this one. http://www.plasma.com/drapermounts/fhmt1450.htm Last edited by ShockWave; 12-11-2009 at 06:51 AM. |

I believe Ozzman did this with his TV...you could PM him and he could tell you what he used and how it is working out for him......

What do you guys think of the stand I made in gallery? I actually made it a bit bigger because I know my center is going to be upgraded next year. Plan to hit it will some clear to darken it up, but the flash washes out the real color.
Should I put it back to the old way or keep it? Last edited by ShockWave; 12-14-2009 at 04:27 AM. |

Thanks lojack. It only raised it 11.5 inches and it's as high as it would be if it was mounted. Really looks fine on viewing angle. The sound really does seem to have improved. The sounds stage seems fuller, voice are clearer as well.
I just had a idea and I think I am going to find a granite product and glue it to the face and the sides. If anyone has any idea of a product please point me to it. Last edited by ShockWave; 12-14-2009 at 06:00 AM. |

I went to a granite and marble fabricator. Picked out the granite I wanted and gave them the measurements for them to cut it all out. Search granite fabricator locally if you are looking for the same. |
