Default My room for a family of 4

My room that is designed for a family of 4

The Room Acoustics were done a HAA engineer

Ive just recently purchased a Pronto 9800 to replace my 9600 and I was suprised be the size between the two

I finally got around purchasing the SVS AS-EQ1 and had to muck around a bit in getting my setup right. I moved the right sub from the front wall to the side and then back to the front. Ive then moved my chairs slightly forward which made a difference in my results and still allowing to keep my subs at the front.

Ive had some say these Sub EQ units dont mean a thing and some say its all rubbish. I then approached Audyssey about this and this is his response:
Quote:
Not sure who this "respected" member is, but perhaps they need to bone up on linear system theory a little. The plots shown are 1/3 octave smoothed. They are not at all theoretical. Linear system theory tells us that the measured response multiplied by the correction filter gives us the "after" response. That means: if you were to spend time to re-measure in each exact location you used for calibration and then combined the multiple measurements you would get the exact "after" curve shown in the graphs. We could double the time it takes to calibrate by having you put the mic in the same locations and re-measure after MultEQ has calculated its filters. But what would be the point? You would end up with the same graphs. That's the beauty of linear systems.

The problem is that most people are used to thinking simplistically of single point before and after measurements. But, when you have multipoint measurements you have to combine them to represent what has been measured in the listening area. The core of the Audyssey algorithms is in the method for combining the measurements and that makes it difficult to get the same results using a third party mic and software. Calibrating with one method and measuring with another is a good way to get results that don't match.

Black Leather 4 seater chairs with automatic recline.

This room is designed for one purpose only, for my family of 4.

These are the Sonance Virtuoso 834DR speakers. There used as surround speakers. Why I chose them because of the Berylluim speakers which match my Focals and also because the Pivot.

I use Focal IW profile 908 speakers for surround back which do a sensational job.

All my components are connected using Kordz Master series. The Hdmi to my Projector is an Audioquest Cinema Quest HDMI X

Awhile back I ended up installing a dedicated 32AMP switch in my HT room which is soley for the Furman. The Furman powers both Fathoms 112 and the Denon POA A1HD.

Are the photos to dark? The reason why I ask is I had somebody else tell me they were too dark.

Simply Incredible! One of the Finest Examples of a Personal Home Theater Room I Have Yet Seen.

Starting with the Beautiful Seating Arrangement and the look of the chairs. So Comfortable but Very Classy at the Same Time.

Then the Equipment you have Reads Like a Who's Who of the Best Components Made.JVC Projector,Denon,Focal,JL Subs,Just Some of the Finest Equipment Available.
But with the way the equipment is Placed its Extremely Asthetically Pleasing.

The Pivoting Surrounds,I have Never Seen Before. And That I LOVE.Any Time I Have a Chance To See Something New,I Consider Myself Blessed. And I Consider "The Family of Four" To Be Blessed To Have Such a Beautiful Area In Which To Unwind And Relax.

While at the Same Time Watching Movies With Both Audio and Video Quality Better Then Many Commercial Cinemas.

I Wish I Had The Words To Really Say What I Think and How I Feel About What You Have Shared With Us. But The Pictures Speak For Themselves.

Thankyou for your kind words my friend. But I also believe everyone HT is very special it's our enthuiasm of this hobby that bought us all togther to these forums. Funny thing is when people come over I barely even show them the room because most are really not intrested. I'm definitley glad for these forums.

Thanks again for your kind words
