My friend and I have a little bet going on which movies will make the most money this year.We each picked 5 movies.Total domestic gross wins. It was a snake draft. He had first pick I had 2nd and 3rd and so on. What do you guys think? Whats your top 10 money makers in 2010?

Heres our list in the order they were picked.
1.Iron Man 2
2.Shrek
3.Harry Potter
4.Toy Story 3
5.Eclipse
6.Alice in Wonderland
7.Tron Legacy
8.Chronicles of Narnia

No way Shrek is #2. And it's Eclipse, not Twilight.

I think Toy Story 3 is def gonna be a big winner on the list along with many of the movies you have listed. HP no doubt and same with Iron Man 2. Is that all the big movies coming out next year?

Uh oh, the op has angered a Twilight fan. Run!

I agree with everything on the list, except for: The Last Airbender and the 3rd Narnia. I think those will tank.

If the question was Worldwide and you guys hadn't picked HP 7 I'd say you are nuts

If it is domestic, I'll go with:

Iron Man 2 - $350M-$375M is my early prediction. ($700M - $800M WW)
Harry Potter 7 - Probably $310M - $340M (close to $1B WW)
Eclipse - $280-$300M (As much as many people despise these movies, it will make a truck load of cash)
Shrek 4 - $275M - $300M (that 3rd one left a bad taste in quite a few fans mouth)
Toy Story 3 - $250M (though it could be higher or lower depending on how much fan interest has been built up over the years, the first two made $191M and $245M in 1995 and 2000.)

After the top 5, I'm not sure what everything else will do. I expect Inception to perform quite well, but I'm not sure exactly how well.

We agreed that these two would be the breaker. Airbender is going up against two big movies so that worries me. Knight and Day and ECLIPSE

Clash of the Titans is a March release, it won't make summer blockbuster numbers.

But it will probably do well, $150M-ish is what I'm thinking domestic.

Shouldn't Avatar be on there? Came out last year but is still making tons of money.

It was released in 2009, so it's a 2009 movie.

I assumed the OP meant movies that were released in 2010, thus excluding movies like Avatar, Sherlock and Chipmunks that are still making good money.

No love for the A Team here I see. With Joe taking in 150 mill domestic this year, it could take a nice amount of business.

Default Booooooooooooooooo :-(

Proof that even a topic that isn't even mathematically conceivable of having Avatar in it, gets mentioned only after 12 posts. I think we set a new record.

Toy Story 3 will be a major one, top 5 for sure.
Unless all these lil demon 7 year olds think they're too mature with their Twilight and HP for a (hopeful) Pixar classic
