Steelbook Prediction Thread-2010 Edition - Blu-ray Forum

Figured it would be fun to have a little guessing game for the year. Predict what will be released as a Steelbook in 2010. It can be as simple as a list or as complex as descriptions of artwork and Country or even the amount of countries releasing said title. Anyways here's a few of my predictions for 2010.

Avatar will be released in multiple countries including the US. And with 3 entirely different artwork.

New Moon will be released in Spain again as well as a Hot Topic exclusive.

Futureshop will release more cataloge titles: Superman Returns, Transformers, Serenity, Frighteners, Tombstone, and Bad Boys.

Sex in the City 2 will get a steelbook, but only the die-hards will buy it. And only the crazy die hards will admit it.

A TV show will get a steelbook release. No idea which one, but i'll take a shot and say either Alias or Deadwood.

Best Buy will get a steelbook exclusive that will be done correctly and which will be relatively limited.

A steelbook will be released that will reach "I Am Legend(Ca), Iron Man, Rambo" Status.

A contest to vote on steelbook Artwork will be held.

This is an interesting thread to start. i like it. but i must say i highly doubt FutureShop is in the market to release old releases as Steelbooks. but i've been wrong before. just dont think i am on this one.

I only hope FS continues to release the Disney/Pixar movies as a SB (Toy Story 1-3, Princess and the Frog, Fantasia, Dumbo etc...)

I agree. i'd love to see the Disney's continue to come out as SB's

Only a prediction. But who saw the disney flicks coming. Anythings possible. But honestly i only think 2 or 3 of the things i have listed will actually come true.

I believe the most probable release of Iron Man 2 FS exclusive will make Iron Man worth more than IAL and pretty much out of reach. This is only speculations at this point but I want to believe.

These SBs will soar untill a new format is out and steelbooked.

You're probably right. But I'm going to probably add in that, like with others, it'll be FYE dvd exclusive.

I want BB SB's to be BD size, and the only SB I'm interested is Avatar, and possibly 2012. I think the SB fever for me is dying down.

My predictions, i think we can all say that it is most likely that Iron Man 2 will come out and be a FS exclusive, But then again maybe the other countries will see how the first one was snapped up and jump on the bandwagon for the 2nd and it will be worthless

I would love for 2010 if FS continues the Disney Series including Toy Story 1-3 (as indiviual releases) Finding Nemo The Incredibles and Dumbo and at the the end the two National treasure films.
Also i would love to get nice looking Futureshop Steels of Avatar, 2012 and of course Iron Man 2.
Dreams would be to have indiviual releases of the Alien Quadrology or the first three Indiana Jones and both Bad Boys oh man i am beginning to dream again

but this would be a very expansive year again,

and i would have to get some more showcases

Since bad boys 1, 2 and armageddon have been announced for this year, I would think these 3 movies would be steelbook-ized
