Default lg bd390 question???

do bluray players not have a screen saver? i dont even know if thats what it is called, but anytime i have paused a movie on any of my regular players after a few minutes go by some sort of screen comes up. usually with the brand of the players moving around on the screen or soething. recently i purchased a lg bd390 and no matter how long its left on pause, the paused image stays on the screen. it doesnt seem normal to me...

There is something to that. I left my LD BD390 on pause for 24 hours, and now it won't play any Blu-Ray DVDs. It will still play regular DVDs. Does this make sense to anyone?

Surely, the player should have turned itself off if there were any possibility of damage. If I were to have pressed stop instead, it would have turned itself off after a short while. I only pressed pause because it doesn't remember where I was on the DVD when I press stop and it turns itself off.

The screensaver only works when you stop the disc. After about 5 minutes and then after another 5 it shuts off.

And you couldn't go back to find the scene?

By the way, surely you meant LG and not LD. It might interest you to know that after the last firmware update it now remembers where it was on a blu-ray.
