Mine did not come with a slipcover. Not sure that should be a deal-breaker if you're getting a good price...

Not really in gamestores or places like BB, but you can still find them. You can still find 60gb brand new, if you dont mind paying like 1k which is a joke.

There is no slip cover, but it should be noted that (slip cover aside) the version that comes with PS3 is different from the one sold separately.

The version that came with PS3 is only a bare-bones single disc version, and does not include the second disc with extra features.

The packaging art is mainly the same. But there are some minor differences (I think there is some text on the front of the box that specifically mentions is working in PS3 that isn't present on the versions sold separately).

And, there are even some minor differences in the packaging between the Trilogy box set version and the single release version (both do contain the 2nd disc and all on-disc content). All of the movies in the Trilogy box set have spines that are mainly blue in color (including the area that has a webbing effect over it). The separate version of Spider-Man 3 has the area with the webbing-look colored in red. Also, there is a barcode on the back of the individual release version which is not present on the Trilogy set version. And the individual version was the only one ever released with a slipcover.

Regarding the spine color issue, I believe the PS3 version is blue, similar to the trilogy set version's case.


Now, aside from the missing 2nd disc in the PS3 version, all of these differences are limited to packaging cosmetics, and don't effect the on-disc content. But I just thought I would point them out since you are questioning the packaging.

The PS3 version Spider-man 3 is not "barebones." Its just the first disc from the two disc set so you still get the commentaries, bloopers, music video, and photo galleries.

The only thing missing is the second disc as mentioned but that had documenaries and featurettes. The front of the art was also modified from the traditional (in 2007) Sony BD art. Instead of stating "EXPERIENCE HIGH DEFINITION" at the bottom, the PS3 version of Spider-Man 3 states "EXPERIENCE ON YOUR PLAYSTATION 3." A banner was also added at the top that states "BLU-RAY HIGH DEFINITION MOVIE."

The PS3 bundled exclusive of Talladega Night: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is a movie-only disc and was pressed just for the PS3. It is the theatrical version only.
