Default Vorlx's humble 7.1 living room/home theater

Trying to make the best of the room I got. It will be a couple years until I am in a house with a more ideal home theater.

That Is One Incredible System you have.
I Love the Entertainment Unit and the HD DLP Unit at the Center of it.

Add in a Sony ES AV Receiver and a Sony 400 Disc Blu-Ray Player/Changer.And You Have Incredible Components to Build a Wonderful System.

And That 400 Disc BD Player is a Very Impressive component. You can simply add every Blu-Ray you have or get and still have some room left over for your Blu-Ray collection to Grow.

Definitive Technology Makes Wonderful Subs and their SuperCube Line is no exception.
I Like the Klipsch Front Speakers and center speaker.
Add in the In-Wall Surrounds and you have great Audio Performance all the way around in your system.

But I really Love the Sony ES AV Receiver and Sony 400 Disc Blu-Ray Player.
Both Excellent Components and ones I would Love to have in my system.

Congratulations on a Wonderful System. And Thanks for Sharing it with us.

Nice set-up, very clean and organized. That Tv stand is huge looking. I am sure the Klipsch speakers sound great. That sectional looks real comfy, and I want one as well with the cupholders. Nice job!!!

Thanks for the feedback, I have been really pleased with how everything has turned out. I wish I had more space, I want the 82" DLP.

My wife always wanted a more complete entertainment looking stand so she could put all her little nick nacks on. I got this at the same time I got my TV. It's worked out pretty well although I have seen some wood ones that I like much better. The sectional is pretty nice, I really like the dual recliners.

You are More then Welcomed on the Feedback.
I simply call them as I see 'em.

And you really have one Teriffic System.

I Love the Components so Much.
The Sony ES AVR is a Great Performer with a Great Assortment of Features you dont find in most AV Receivers.

Then the Sony 400 Disc Blu-Ray Player is Just Awesome.
I read an article and small review on it in one of my more recent issues of Home Theater Magazine. They gave it High Marks for Great Performance and Outstanding Features

(Like the single disc input so if you rent or borrow a movie you can remove it as soon as its finished playing).
And just the fact you could load it with a Blu-Ray and not have to handle that Blu-Ray again has to be comforting knowing that it probably wouldn't get scratched or anything since it can stay in the player.

And my Dad got a Projection TV and my Mom had to have an entertainment unit with a tower on each side and an overhead bridge connecting the two.Its OK,but I like the unit you have.

It has a modern look that I am drawn to.And your Speakers and Gear still Stand Out and Look Great in the Entertainment Center.

And,Fors is 100% correct.
That reclining sectional is a Great Addition to your System.
As I can see it being comfortable enough to sit back and watch a couple of movies in a row.

So,you have what I consider a Complete And Amazing Set-Up.Where the Set-Up is a combination of your System(components, speakers, etc) and what you have done with the room it is in.(And with yours you have a Comfortable reclining sectional and a Very Nice Looking AV Unit)

So adding those two together, shows to me that you have One Amazing and Complete Set-Up.

Humble is an 'understatement' usually when they say it is. Great setup you have as I rated/left comments awhile ago. My99svt you have an excellent setup as well. Nice job both of you.

Thanks, I got some chump I know to install them for free! Sucker! HAH, I'm just playing. You did a great job, now if you could just touch up the paint or help redo the bathroom.

Thanks again for the kind words. The comment above was a huge selling point for me and for talking the wife into it. My kids absolutely destroyed my DVD's. It's so great to be able to just sit down, click Watch a Blu-Ray, and then pick and choose from a menu.

It's a good room but I am already making plans for the next house we plan to buy in a couple years (hopefully). Looking to have a game room that I can really make mine. =) You know, go all out. Haha. Then again with that house payment I probably won't be able to afford to. Oh the irony! I love the changer, one of the best things I have ever bought.

LOL... I'd have to say no. You never know though, maybe she's up for it. That way you could have more cash for the HT. I don't think I've ever seen a Trailer Theater. You know, you could just get a 5th wheel and put it up at my new house. =) That one house that is otw to yours has like 12 acres.

Great set up love everything. How do you like the Sony 400 disc changer and the ES receiver I was thinking about getting the same one?

The receiver works really well, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a lot of stuff that most people might never use but I have had no problems with it and it does everything I need it to do. I replaced an aging Denon AVR 3802. I was going to go with the AVR 3310 but went with the Sony ES instead.

I absolutely love the 400 disc changer. I would recommend it to anyone that has an interest in getting a changer. There is an ES model as well that is way overpriced. The key differences (from what I have read) are RS232, Analog ports, and slightly better upscaling. Oh and it has the prettier look lol. The changer is huge though so make sure you got the rack space to put it on. It wouldn't fit on my side racks I had to put it under.

Hello Vorlx!

It's really good to see a tri-rack configuration! I'm smiling ear-to-ear!
If you don't know by now, the triple rack configuration could be considered an archaic design in today's minimalist mindset. I'm sure you've seen the trend. Lowboy stand; flat panel mounted above on the wall or resting on the lowboy; 3 maybe 4 components max, consisting of a STB, BD player, some type of music playback device; An AVR and if they want to venture to the wild side, may add a multi-channel amp! Just no imagination!

An addendum for all the sensibilities I may have offended!
For those that resemble the above description, please understand and don't be offended. This is a rare celebration for us tri-rack folk! We are a rare breed today. Let us dinosaurs have our 2 minutes of glory and fame! I know, the minimalist design is more efficient, more precise, easier to maintain and it looks cleaner! I've read the book and seen the movie! Don't worry, the website will be back to it's usual acknowledgement and celebration of the minimalist/simplistic setup!

About the Sony 5400ES AVR. Let's not get it confused. SonyES put every other manufacturer on notice when the 5400ES was introduced. It had by far the most features of any AVR in it's price range at the time, not to mention the most HDMI inputs available on any AVR. At the time, all you saw was at the most 3 HDMI inputs. (Marantz SR7001/2 and 8001/2 had 4). The 5400 had 6! The 5400 was also the first AVR to have built-in DTS-HD/MA decoding and had very good video processing. I would say the main weaknest this AVR had was the amplifier. Although rated at 120 watts, when all 7 channels are being pushed it's actually 45 watts per channel. Nothing an Emotiva XPA-5 can't handle! The Sony could be a fine Pre-pro alternative.

And you are Klipsch Reference man too! You know you are cool with me now!

Anyway, you have a very fine system and I hope we are able to exchange post in the future about our Tri-rack configuration! We are still relevant in a minimalist world! Tri-rack configs-unite!

I'm sure theres more, I just couldn't find them quick enough!

ld,

with all due respect: before you make such unsubstantiated and highly biased claims, have you submitted your tri-rack configuration to a total blind test conducted in a controlled environment and with proper measuring and analyzing equipment, sanctioned and arbitrated by the proper rack-endorsing committees, panels and relevant organizations?? Are you able to produce graphs backed up and accompanied by literature containing but not limited to scientific explanations as pertaining to your above claims??

ld, you know what I mean! Sorry, I just could NOT help myself!! LOL!!!
