i challenge them to prove the show is real all ive seen is stuff that can be faked and why just ck out haunted places cant u pick up evps from a unhaunted house im sure they can anyways

I like the show, if its fake, its done well, its not like the the UK ghost show where its just green night vision shots of peoples faces going "what was that?" and their bug eyes.

Can be faked? anything can be faked. The real question is, does the show entertain you? if not, sweet as, don't watch it, the button on the remote is just one finger move away

I believe the show will only appeal to those who like Paranormal stuff, I mean, if you liked the film, 'Paranormal Activity', I don't see why you wouldn't like this show. 'Ghost Hunters', the title itself, is pretty straight forward.

Yeah but that video is 100% proof they are fake but it doesn't matter to me anymore i stopped watching after i seen that video, I'm just trying to encourage people not to believe everything they seen on TV.

But if you like the show then good thats great enjoy it, I'm not gonna try a shove my opinion down people's throat about it like some do here at Blu-ray.com.

I like the show and tend to fall in the camp that believes what they're doing is for real. I think the way they edit tries to make it "Hollywood". If they would stop that, it would feel more legitimate to those doubters.

Oh it's 100% BS, but I still enjoy watching it. It's about as close to "legit" as any of the paranormal shows out there. The worst is the one with the roidhead d'bag who wears the tight print t-shirts and girls jeans.

The paranormal shows all follow the same formula--setup, "investigate", conclusion.

The setting is usually someplace "spooky" (i.e. asylum, prison, really old building) with a lot of history. Demonstrably false and unverifiable statements are frequently made, sometimes as fact, but usually with the same tired "reportedly" or "it is said" statements.

Investigations are made, almost always in the dark (for no reason other than spook factor) and usually (mis)using equipment for something other than its intended purpose. Demonologists, psychics and mediums are sometimes used to provide "data".

The conclusion is almost always the same--nothing is found, but some sort of reaffirmation is made. Hope remains eternal so we'll see you next week for more of the same.

I think the show is 100% real because about 90% of the stuff they debunk! If they were out to fool people there would be quite a bit more "unexplained". Now that international one or whatever it is that runs around scaring themselves constantly then yeah I could see that....but Grant and the guys seem to do a pretty good job. I just wish they would get more time at a site instead of like 7 hrs or so.....would like for them to spend a week at some locations. Do they fake stuff? I have no idea..but they seldom have any real concrete evidence of anything and debunk most everything, and I find it pretty entertaining.

Ive watched these shows a few times and they are ridiculous... they show all this crap... noises... movement etc etc... then at the end they basically say its not a ghost or this and that.. never seen an episode where they actually caught footage of anything.... so i stopped watching

I really like the show, but I must admit they have yet to show me ANYTHING that makes me say "Yep, that there is a ghost" Do they have some abnormal things happen.....yeah, but I also think its T.V.(they set it up) Like the guy above me said, I like the fact that they debunk A LOT of stuff, which does give the show some crediblity.(sp) Real or not I like the show

The show is called Ghost Hunters but much of what they're doing is just anomaly hunting. They, like most other paranormal invetigators, look for strange things which they can interpret as evidence of the paranormal. That's why they use all of that equipment. A thermal readout says nothing about ghosts because there is not a connection between heat and ghosts. Same thing with the EMF meter. There is no reason to think EVPs are anything more than auditory pareidolia.

Short of capturing an actual ghost on camera they're just trying to a.) look busy/sciency and b.) build a case based on circumstantial evidence. The issue I have with their investigations is that they take for granted causal relationships that have not been practically established (i.e. ghosts cause cold spots). That's why the most you will ever get out of anomaly hunting is not conclusive evidence, but a collection of anomalies.

I always thought the lighthouse episode was the best, can't remember the exact name of the Lighthouse, but they kept running up and down the stairs 'chasing' something.. in the end, they were right down the bottom looking up at the top staircase, and you could see this thing leaning over the rail looking down at the them.

Of course it is fake. Sure it is entertaining once in a while but it gets old to use the same formula over and over and over again.

It is interesting to see some of the places they visit, that's about it at this point.

Been fan since the first episode and still think they're legit. I just feel they have more to lose being fake then to gain from it. That video does little to prove to me they faked anything.

You are thinking of the St. Augestine Lighthouse in Florida. Another good one was when they went to the Stanley Hotel. I like watching the show, even though I know a lot of it is easily explained. I've had a couple of personal experiences myself that changed my mind about the Paranormal.
