I had time warner when I went to college in ohio, there selection wasnt as big as direct tv (which I just got rid of) but there local channels / digital ones looked better, but not the hd... I went with fios about 3 weeks ago, they have very good looking Regular channels and a much deeper HD selection

+ there internet prices are amazing comcast here in maryland charged 50$ a mo for 6mbps(megabites per second) download speed and 1mbps upload speed ... but with fios you get 15mbps download and 2mbps upload for that price .... more than double the speed for the same price...

we went with the 30 Mbps/5 Mbps for 179 and it is INSANely fast!... we've just about switched everything over to fios ... soon to be the phones

im very happy with it never any outages or problems in storms like with DTV..

hope your not paying what i did at my apt for road runner like 40 for 4mbps and 1mbps upload... Id say if you want good looking digital channels / no outages during storms , and a very nice line up of hd channels, Id do fios ( is a tad more expensive for movie channels tho) but when we switched our internet / tv over and had 1 bill for both what we saved went into buying all our movie channels again...

I enjoyed dtv but there installation people were a joke at least here we almost droped it the day after the install ... they tried to run wires out of the window instead of drilling co-ax thru the wall.. + our "brand new hd box" that was brought was broken so we had to wait 2 days to get our main room hooked up.. they were fine tho but when new channels come out they want you to upgrade your box and if your in a 2 year contract and your box breaks they try to resign people up which seems to me like a scam.. thats just my case tho

I dont know what you pay but for a dvr/a few hd channels (no movies) and the second package at time warner I was well over 100 for the mo.

WHY? I have Dish and I receive 30 plus HD channels and the quality is excellent, can DVR almost all Universal titles if interested.

If you can get something like FIOS in your area, that's probably going to be the best thing by far. (or at least it's supposed to be. )
