Is HD DVD M.I.A. at Costco.com??

Hmmmm... I just went to Costco.com site to check out something when I decided to punch in a search for "Blu-ray" and "HD-DVD". The S301 came up for the Blu-ray search. However, the HD-DVD players seem to have gone missing except for the 360 add-on. Same thing was reported today at Target.com. Coincidence????

Costco will be carrying Blu-ray 4 packs (or already is). I don't think they are carrying HD-blah either. The Costco market is a good market for Blu to target. People who shop at Costco GENERALLY have disposable income and are willing to purchase higher end merchandise on impulse.

My local store has those 4-packs that you are referring too. Family packs, action packs, and another family pack. I think that they are 84.95.

But then they have a big stack of Sony Players right by the door and a display running on a 67" Samsung which is the first thing that you see when you enter.

No sign of HD-DVD.

Yeah, I read the same thing about CostCo regarding HD-DUD yesterday.

The Costco by me has a big stack of HD DVD players and no Blu-ray players.

My gut tells me that Toshiba is running low on inventory of generation 2 machines as they have likely stopped manufacturing them already, gearing up for the next generation of machines they just announced yesterday.

speaking of costco they have great prices on their BD's. a lot of titles are going for sub $20.
