So saw this for preorder, anyone have some specifications? Especially the audio?

Jack White is a genius guitar player, this should be a good buy....Only $16.99
on Amazon..

Their previous DVD, Under Blackpool Lights, was terrific. The DTS audio was, for a lossy format, pretty outstanding. The video wasn't the slickest thing I've ever seen -- it was pretty grainy -- but that was fine too. I'm sure they were going for the rough-edged look to go along with the roughness of the music.

I looked around for audio specs earlier today on the Blu Ray, but struck out. If I had to lay money down, I'd guess DTS HD MA, based on the previous DVD's specs.

Saw it at TIFF, was very cool but it's not a straight concert flick. Somebody over at the Little Room would likely provide more info, but they would show either full songs or good chunks of them while intertwined with footage from their cross-Canada tour.

I'm not trying to disappoint but it's NOT a straight-concert movie. There IS however a live album coming out and a DVD of the Nova Scotia 10th Anniversary show, but it's only available as a part of a huge boxset.

EDIT: Blackpool Lights was like $16-$18 at Best Buy last I saw, I totally forgot about that until now and I just used my Reward Zone gift this week.

That is a little disappointing, I was hoping it was a full concert...

They hit every province and territory in Canada in the summer of 2007 and the movie has music going throughout it with performances from select gigs. Sadly none from the Toronto show I attended but mainly the obscure venues and secret shows they played. Still recommend checking out but it's not your typical concert BD/DVD. I'm honestly more intrigued by the Nova Scotia DVD included within the big boxset, it's a shame they're not selling it on its own too.

Very dissapointed, looks like a rental to me now...I need to know how many
live songs are on it, if there 10+ I'm down, if there's 2 or 3, no sale

Are we allowed to post the stream of the album? Certain sites are publicly streaming it til Friday, I'm digging it and am gonna definitely buy this on BD next week.

EDIT: The live soundtrack to go along with the movie is great, just under an hour but it's solid. No "Ball & Biscuit" or "Death Letter" oddly which are huge live staples.

Pre-ordered this for $17.99 (along with the CD/DVD combo for $14.99) at Best Buy's website. Amazon still $20+, so I figured I'd pass that along.
