Default Speaker Stand Material...

Hey Guys,

I'm going to be building my own speaker stands and was interested to know if there is a particular type of wood that is best suited for these things? Also, what about thickness? I'm thinking 3/4-1 inch thick. I believe the speakers weigh about 20-25 pounds each.

MDF Fiberboard?
Birch Plywood?
Agarwood? J/K

Thanks!

I use birch plywood for my all my builds. You'll want to use an iron on veneer you can pick up at Home Depot or buy a piece of finish molding to dress up the raw edge of the plywood.
