BloodSport Blu-ray Release???

when the heck do they plan on releasing Bloodsport on blu ray ( Van Dame)?

they released kickboxer which is my favorite but i still want bloodsport to finish the old 80s fighters!

I hope the movie "Bloodsport" comes out on blu-ray disc . I no its out on dvd , but for some reason they cheated you on 5.1 dolby digital sound . Its only 2 channel sound from DVD. I own Kickboxer its DTS HD MA . I must say it sound very good in that format . I would love to own it on blu-ray some day . Let me know if you also would like to see it released on blu-ray , so the company or hollywood studio can see we are interested in buying it . If you like bloodsport let me no your insight on this film .

Yes, I would like to own this movie on Blu-ray. I grew up watching this movie. Although there are other movies from Van Damme like Hard Taget, Timecop, Sudden Death, Nowhere To Run and Double Impact which I have more interest in seeing on Blu-ray first.

I recently recorded this movie on my HD DVR. I haven't seen it yet but from the few pieces I saw, the film has a lot of damage. I do hope they do a remaster for the Blu-ray version.

Does Lionsgate own this movie?

It is and I own it. Transfer is fair on Bloodsport - but what a movie - and actually pretty good on Timecop

Bloodsport has been out in Canada for almost 2 years now. It comes in a double feature release with Time Cop. The PQ is pretty damn good too.

There is a German stand-alone edition of Bloodsport. It looks like it just dropped to 8,90 EUR and with the conversion and the new cheap shipping rates from Amazon.de it'll be about $15 shipped. The German release is MGM so I have no idea if it's a different transfer than the the existing US double feature.

I don't have the best eye for these things but the DE transfer looks a lot better to my eyes. The only cap I wasn't quite sure which looked better is the 4th one. It seems like the DE shot has an unnatural green tint but I could be wrong on that. I haven't seen the movie in a while so maybe I'm wrong there.

The German edition looks hands down better but I'd be interested to get someone's opinion who owns the film on how the film looks in motion compared to the US version. From the caps the DE edition looked to have A LOT more detail.
