Default Elektra: Director's Cut - 5/4/10

Elektra Blu-ray

Elektra Blu-ray Review

I know most people liked this less than Daredevil (which I loved).....anyways it's coming out May 4 which is apparently Marvel video day as the final volume of X-Men: The Animated Series and Iron Man: The Complete Animated Series arrive on the same day, on DVD of course.

Same here. I never got all the hate, but then again I never kept up with the comics either.

Yeah, this film gets way too much hate. And ironically I think it comes from the comic book fanboys. I swear, it seems that the demographic that kills comic book and sci-fi films in the industry is the fanboys. They are way too critical for their "baby" that they can't simply enjoy what they're given by the industry. Sure, some films totally butcher the source material, but for the most part, and most of the time, they're just good entertaining films.

I mean, look at all the hate Terminator: Salvation got. I mean I was seeing critiques that said, "What's a Terminator film without Terminators?" I'm like "Huh? Did you watch the same film I did?"

Definitely in the running for worst coming book film of the decade. I think the award would still go to Catwoman or Batman & Robin, but Elektra is definitely in the top 5.

Bah. This is one of the few movies where the theatrical version was better than the Director's Cut.

The only think I remotely remember from this movie was that it bored me. I would still give it a second shot but definitely not a purchase.

Umm you could see Elektra in Pure HD allready, Daredevil has been on bluray for quite a while now.

and that movie is a far better showcase of Elektra.

So now that the news has already broken, who would like to buy the UK release of Elektra from me? I've also got the UK releases of Daredevil and Hancock. I will sell all 3 (discs-only) for $25 including shipping within the US.

PM me if interested, or just feel free to make fun of me for finally getting around to importing Elektra like 2 weeks before they announce the US release.

Those are two different decades you're talking about, but I agree with you.

I think visually and audio-wise it's probably worth a peek.

Catwoman isn't even in the same league as Elektra.
Catwoman was just AWFUL. Elektra wasn't
