Best space flight sim games? - Blu-ray Forum

The Wing Commander series comes to mind for the story and gameplay but the best was Privateer for those games. Privateer was awesome because you were free to just roam around and trade and do what you wanted.

But then Descent Freespace came. Sure the storyline of the original was copying Wing Commander Prophecy but what a game Freespace is! And the sequel was amazing!

SO what are your favorites?

Not sure if this fits but I am currently playing Star Trek Online MMO and the space battles is the best thing about the game. I've never subscribed to any MMO before and I'm having a blast with this game. It's not some peoples favorite but I like it.
